Crazy music workshop
with Dina Mccabee from the Andesground Label
How does this sound?
While Live is known as a powerful tool for creating beat driven music, it offers enormous potential and flexibility for shaping and layering sounds and creating original sonic worlds. This workshop will explore several idiosyncratic approaches to the concept of layering as a generative tool, including looping, delay, and other processes. Attendees can participate as listeners, as techniques will be demonstrated. Live users are also encouraged to bring their laptops for hands-on practice. If bringing a computer, please have Live 11 or Live 12 installed (new users can install the Free Trial version of Live ahead of time) and should have be familiar with Live’s layout and basic features. Questions drawn from participants’ own practice are welcome and encouraged, though the workshop is not intended as a technical tutorial on using or troubleshooting Live.
If bringing a computer, please have Live 11 or Live 12 installed (new users can install the Free Trial version of Live ahead of time), be familiar with Live’s layout and basic features, and bring a pair of headphones.
